🛡️Who we are
ParentSafe is a parental control service operated by Vertex Bytes. It is made of three apps that work together: the ParentSafe parent app, the ParentSafe Junior child app (Android and iOS), and a desktop app for Windows and macOS that can monitor a child's computer or act as a parent dashboard.

On iPhone and iPad, ParentSafe uses Apple's Screen Time and an on-device DNS filter, so activity is shown as websites visited, blocked attempts and screen time.

- Show you your child's activity and screen time in the parent dashboard.
- Enforce your blocking rules, daily limits and bedtime on your child's devices.
- Keep rules and activity in sync between devices in real time.
- Send you alerts, such as a blocked attempt.
- Keep your account secure and the service working.
We do not use this data for advertising and we do not sell it.
🔑Device permissions
Monitoring needs special permissions, which are granted step by step on your child's device. They cannot be turned on silently.
👀Who sees your data
Only the parent who owns the family account can see their children's data. Each family's data is kept separate from every other family's.

These providers process data only to run ParentSafe. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
🧒Children's privacy
ParentSafe is set up and controlled by a parent or legal guardian. Children never create accounts or share data directly with us. Parents are responsible for having the right to monitor the device and for telling their child about the monitoring. We encourage open conversations about online safety.
🗑️Retention & deletion
We keep data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the Delete Account page. This removes your parent profile and all linked children, devices, activity, web history, blocked-request logs and rules.
🔐Security
- Data is encrypted in transit.
- Row-level access rules keep each family's data separate.
- The parent PIN is stored as a salted hash and locks after repeated wrong attempts.
No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect your information.

Depending on where you live, you may ask us to access, correct, export or delete your data, or object to certain processing. Contact us and we'll help.
